
ANSC 250 – Ruminant Animals
This course focuses on the study of ruminant animals, including cattle, sheep, and goats. It covers their anatomy, physiology, nutrition, reproduction, breeding, health management, and production systems. Emphasis is placed on sustainable management practices, feed formulation, disease control, and the economic importance of ruminant livestock in agricultural production. Practical sessions are included to enhance students’ skills in handling, feeding, and managing ruminant animals for optimal productivity.
